Names I go by
After I turned 15, less and less people have started calling me by my real name. I actually like it a lot. Partly because they’re affectionate nicks.
And mostly cause I still don’t get the logic behind MY name.
Funny thing about it is they’re (the names) either just a chopsueyed cutified version of my real name or something they thought would fit me better. I agree. So I broke them down and ended up with this list.
I AM:
“Glo Anne” - To my relatives and family friends, to older people and during formal occassions.
“Glo” - To my teammates, acquaintances, Starbucks Baristas.
“Glowie” - To my college barkada, To Ea, Kitchie and Twinkle and to my other close college friends.
“Geelow” - Also to some of my close college friends.
“Glowers” - To my Church Barkada and to my Small Group.
So there. Still, there really isn’t anything special about my name.
Just don’t wear it out.
